About New Horizons

New Horizons Church is a church for people on a new journey in life. You may be new to Canada, new to Winnipeg, or in a new season of life. We invite you to be our guest this coming Sunday as we explore what it means to become a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ. New Horizons is a brand new church, affiliated with the Wesleyan Church of Canada (www.wesleyan.org). We exist to communicate the life-giving hope and holiness of Jesus Christ with families just like yours!

New Horizons International Church is part of the Wesleyan Denomination. The Wesleyan Church is a Spirit-led, praying movement called to evangelize and make disciples of all people by equipping believers, developing leaders, multiplying churches, and transforming communities.

Wesleyans believe in one God, who is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and the Savior of all who put their faith in Him alone for eternal life. We believe that those who are made new in Christ are called to be holy in character and conduct, and can only live this way by being filled with the Lord’s Spirit. We believe in the Bible and its sufficiency to establish our faith and conduct. We believe God wills for people everywhere to know Him and be made new in Christ. We believe that the purpose of the Church is to worship God in spirit and in truth, and to reach a lost and fallen world with the gospel of Jesus Christ through its worship, witness, and loving deeds.

Justin Bradbury

Lead Pastor

Justin has been involved in Christian ministry since 1997, and especially enjoys communicating God’s Word in an engaging and easy to understand way. He enjoys meeting people from around the world, learning new cultures and food! He is the proud father of 3 children, husband to Angie, and also a part time PhD student. When he’s not ministering to people, serving as “taxi driver” for his kid’s activities, or studying, he might be out golfing, camping, reading a novel, discovering a new ocean side beach, or watching re-runs of favourite ’80’s TV shows on Netflix! Justin is an ordained minister with the Central Canada District of the Wesleyan Church.

Programs

Sunday Worship Gathering

The New Horizons International Church family gathers for worship in the International Place of Friendship on Sunday mornings with Café & Conversation at 10:00am and services beginning at 10:45am. We are joyful in our worship, and sing a mixture of the best contemporary worship songs and timeless hymns of the Christian Church. We pray together and with each other. We take turns reading God’s Word. We celebrate Holy Communion, or the Lord’s Supper, once per month and on the major festivals of the Church. We hear God’s Word preached, and baptise new believers. The young, old(er!), newcomers to Canada, and all God’s people participate in our worship services.
